Job summary

Harmattan AI in Lausanne is seeking a Drone System Validation Technician & Remote Pilot to maintain our autonomous drone fleet, support field tests, and run the validation lab. Responsibilities include fleet maintenance, soldering and wiring, drone piloting during tests, safety supervision, and managing parts inventory and test logistics.

Qualifications

Technical degree or substantial hands-on experience in electronics, mechanics, or RC modelling.
Strong manual dexterity: soldering, wiring and mechanical assembly.
Rigorous, organized and safety-conscious mindset.
Experience piloting multirotor or fixed-wing drones (remote pilot cert a plus).
Interest in hands-on DIY/technical building projects.
English language proficiency: A2 level minimum.
Willingness to travel for field testing operations.

Responsibilities

Fleet maintenance: preventive and corrective servicing of the drone fleet.
Flight operations: piloting drones during test campaigns and safety operator during flights.
Logistics: manage spare parts and field equipment inventory.
Test execution: run protocols and report results to engineering teams.
Lab management: keep the validation lab and workspace organized and safe.
