Job summary

Serac in Basel seeks an experienced DMPK scientist to provide strategic leadership across its protein degrader portfolio. You will design, run and interpret DMPK and translational pharmacology studies to support discovery and preclinical programs through candidate selection.

You will work with chemists, biologists and pharmacologists to optimize ADME properties and establish exposure-response relationships.

Qualifications

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Metabolism or Pharmacokinetics required.
• 5+ years in industrial drug discovery focusing on DMPK and protein degraders.
• Experience leading DMPK projects within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong PK/PD, translational and PBPK modeling expertise.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership for DMPK activities on multidisciplinary drug discovery teams.
• Identify key DMPK liabilities and mitigate ADME issues from lead identification to candidate selection.
• Drive program progression through integration of DMPK, pharmacology, efficacy and safety data.
• Design, oversee and report in vitro and in vivo ADME, PK, PK/PD and toxicokinetic studies.
• Develop translational PK/PD strategies linking exposure, biomarkers and efficacy endpoints.
• Apply PK/PD, PBPK modeling to guide compound optimization and safety.
• Develop human PK/PD projections to support clinical candidate selection.
• Select and manage CROs and external collaborators.
• Maintain awareness of emerging DMPK technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to IND-enabling DMPK packages and regulatory interactions.
