Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive formulation, development, and implementation of innovative statistical analysis methods and study designs across therapeutic areas.
  2. Facilitate discussions, translating scientific questions into statistical terms and statistical concepts into layman's terms.
  3. Influence stakeholders by effectively communicating research findings to cross-functional teams; interpret scientific results accessibly for non-statisticians.
  4. Serve as statistical lead on topics influencing and advising senior leadership on issues with business impact.
  5. Continuously develop technical knowledge of statistical methodologies and build external scientific reputation via publications and presentations.
  6. Enhance knowledge of drug development processes, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
  7. Mentor and coach junior statisticians; develop training curricula for the broader GBDS organization.
  8. Communicate the GBDS Mission and Vision to foster pride, excitement, and commitment within GBDS.
  9. Promote a culture of inclusiveness, respect for diversity, compliance, and constructive questioning.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics with 9+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical R&D or academia/government.
  • Strong understanding of drug development with a proven track record of statistical innovation.
  • Expertise in Bayesian Methods, Adaptive Design, RWE, Predictive Modeling, Survival Analysis, or Decision Analysis, with publication records.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Teamwork skills, with good interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
