Job summary

MSD is pursuing a Director, Digital Plant Lead to design and harmonize digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities across our Research Laboratories network. The role centers on MES and ERP design, with emphasis on data governance, master data management and scalable enterprise systems.

You will translate complex business needs into concrete system requirements, drive cross-site alignment, and define KPIs to measure value realization of digital transformation across facilities.

Qualifications

• PhD with 4+ years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in digital manufacturing support, plant automation, or related technical field.
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing or supply chain experience preferred.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into system design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Translate business process needs into system requirements for digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities (MES/ERP).
• Provide expertise in virtual plant design across enterprise systems.
• Align enterprise system implementation across sites and divisions for interoperability.
• Drive business-process transformation across the Research Laboratories network.
• Define KPIs to monitor system adoption and value of digital transformation.
• Collaborate with system architects and end-users to ensure scalable, secure implementations.
• Document requirements, processes and architecture; support training plans for new systems.
