Bachem Holding AG is seeking a Head of MES & PI Competence Center to drive digital manufacturing at a 80-100% capacity. The role shapes the MES/PI strategy, partners with IT, OT and business units, and leads a global team to deliver measurable value across the organization.

The candidate will steer application roadmaps, ensure GMP/regulated compliance, and collaborate with external vendors to accelerate digital transformation in manufacturing, reporting to Operations IT.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Experience leading Digital Manufacturing apps in regulated pharma/chemical/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with MES, process historian or shopfloor IT/OT apps (Körber PAS-X, AVEVA PI).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership: inspire and guide teams.
• Communication: articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving: address challenges with innovative solutions.
• Prioritization: focus on activities that create measurable business value.
• Collaboration: foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
• Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Define and maintain the application strategy and roadmap for Digital Manufacturing aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate with business units to manage demand and align solutions with needs.
• Oversee implementation and operation of Digital Manufacturing solutions from planning to deployment and support.
• Ensure compliance with IT service management and computer system validation.
• Collaborate with PMs, IT, OT and SMEs to deliver value.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team and foster innovation.
• Evaluate and manage third-party vendors with IT Excellence and GRC support.
