Job summary

Philip Morris International in Lausanne is seeking a Category Leader for the Cans & Lids Packaging category, blending strategic roadmaps with global execution and close daily interaction with suppliers to secure contracts and capacity.

This role drives sourcing strategies across resins, injection moulding, tooling, and categories, leads negotiations, builds strategic partnerships, and champions process improvement, quality, and regulatory compliance across the region.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in procurement or related supply chain functions.
Expertise in injection moulding, resin sourcing, tooling, and FMCG manufacturing.
Strong understanding of global supply markets, suppliers and cost drivers.
Experience managing high-volume sourcing programs and supplier performance.
Knowledge of polymers, moulding technologies and should-cost analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for resins, tooling and moulding.
Lead supplier selection, negotiations and contract management.
Build strategic supplier partnerships and drive value engineering.
Ensure material quality, regulatory compliance, and supply continuity.
Optimise manufacturing and supply chain performance through process improvement.
Manage contracts, pricing, tooling investments, and supplier performance metrics.
Lead cross-functional projects and develop procurement capability.
Champion standardisation and continuous improvement across the region.
