The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

As a Digital Partnerships Manager your mission will be to support, develop and execute the IOC's digital strategy with key global platforms, and enable Broadcasters, Sponsors, Athletes and the Olympic family in bringing the Olympic Games to life for billions of people across diverse digital channels.

Digital partnerships Manager’s main responsibilities:

  • Support the Digital Partnerships team in the definition and implementation of the IOC strategy with selected global/regional digital and social media platforms to maximize the commercial value of IOC assets and ensure audience development and engagement through best-in-class commercial partnerships.
  • Work alongside the other teams within Media Rights and Content Partnerships to deliver value to selected Media Rights Holders and help them exploit and monetise their media rights on global/regional digital and social media platforms.
  • Work alongside the Activation and Delivery unit to create value for selected TOP sponsors in the activation of their Olympic Games partnership and ensure delivery of IOC commitments.
  • Together with the Senior Manager, Digital Partnerships, work alongside the DEM and OCS team to ensure maximum audience and engagement on IOC digital platforms and social handles.
  • Demonstrate an innovative mindset while proactively looking at monetization opportunities developed by digital platforms as their products and functionalities develop.
  • Identifying new ways to use existing platforms (or new platforms that emerge) to best achieve digital strategy, engagement and commercial goals
  • Support the audience development and engagement strategy for new projects such as the Olympic Esports Games.
  • Project Management: Act as lead in projects/initiatives as assigned by Senior Manager, Digital Partnerships

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent in business, marketing, brand management, advertising or related field; Higher education qualification or equivalent (master’s/bachelor’s degree, Federal diploma, etc.) a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with complex partnership negotiations and analysis including legal/technical aspects.
  • Proven experience working at or directly with digital and/or social media companies from within media / sports / entertainment organizations.
  • Demonstrated successful ability for producing objective based & strategically aligned partnerships that add/create value and are innovative and clearly communicated.
  • English proficiency, French domain would be a plus.

  • Clear understanding of social and digital products and platforms, their business models and technologies.
  • Ability to define, develop and support programs delivery in a changing environment.
  • Knowledge of media (traditional & digital), online business models and internet/consumer technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with broadcast and sponsorship business models.
  • Professional experience outside native/home market.
