Job summary

Die Schweizerische Post AG is hiring to design and build a new cloud-based AWS platform for transferring files with AI agents involved from day one. You will define the technical direction, review AI-generated outputs, and take ownership of what goes live, ensuring secure and scalable delivery.

The role focuses on end-to-end AWS Transfer Family implementations, IaC with Terraform/CDK, and collaboration with product and platform teams to shape the architecture and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based platforms on AWS.
• Ability to automate infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, CDK).
• Comfort with on-call ownership and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement our cloud-based file transfer platform end to end on AWS Transfer Family, including SFTP, FTPS and AS2.
• Automate partner onboarding, user and key management and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build security and compliance into the platform through IAM, encryption and logging.
• Ensure reliable operations through monitoring and structured troubleshooting.
• Leverage AI tooling to generate code, tests and documentation and review results before go-live.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and platform specialists on architecture and roadmap.

We offer a fair salary of between CHF 118'900 and CHF 133'900 per year (100% employment level), depending on experience and skills. Talented people with different skills are also welcome to apply. In such cases your salary may be slightly below or above the range.

How you make a difference.

• You design and implement our cloud-based file transfer platform end to end on AWS Transfer Family, including SFTP, FTPS and AS2.
• In addition, you build the supporting components with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CDK and AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, S3, SQS, EventBridge and DynamoDB.
• You automate partner onboarding, user and key management as well as our CI/CD pipelines.
• At the same time, you build security and compliance into the platform through IAM, encryption, security policies, auditing and logging.
• You ensure reliable operations through monitoring, alerting and structured troubleshooting and take ownership when things go wrong (on call).
• Furthermore, you use AI tooling to generate code, tests and documentation, critically review the results and decide what is ready to go live.
• You share your learnings with the team, help shape how we use AI in engineering and work closely with the Product Owner and platform specialists on architecture and the roadmap.
