Project description

We're seeking a strong and creative DevOps specialist with expertise in Bamboo (Atlassian Suite), eager to solve challenging problems of scale and work on cutting-edge technologies. In this project, you will have the opportunity to write code impacting thousands of users monthly, applying your critical thinking and technical skills to develop innovative software. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.

In this project, you will work with a world-class team in the insurance sector, building holistic solutions and interacting with multidisciplinary teams.

The project involves upgrading and modernizing a 25-year-old Visual Basic/SQL DB application and two Lotus Notes applications, migrating over 50 million records with zero data loss into modern digital cloud and hybrid microservices architectures on a native Kubernetes platform.

Responsibilities

• Support the migration of 40+ applications to AWS Public Cloud
• Automate application deployments using DevOps processes
• Utilize Zurich's existing Atlassian DevOps platform for deployment due to compliance restrictions in Germany
• Execute application deployments via Bamboo
• Focus on deploying applications for the German Business Unit across AWS services, including EC2 and ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS)

Skills

Must have

• 5+ years of experience with Azure/AWS services
• Hands-on experience with Bamboo for application deployment
• Experience deploying applications into AWS EC2 instances and ROSA containers is highly desirable
