• Perform database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Support data governance and Master Data Management (MDM) principles.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure data protection and compliance.

Your Responsibilities :

As a Database Administrator, you will contribute to the design and operation of modern, distributed and service-oriented data environments within a large-scale technology transformation programme.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Design and operate distributed database architectures supporting microservices-based applications.
• Implement and support a database-per-service data ownership model.
• Manage both relational and non-relational databases according to application requirements.
• Design, implement and operate database platforms across multi-cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure, AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
• Ensure database performance, scalability and resilience across distributed environments.
• Ensure data integrity, synchronization and event-driven data propagation between services.
• Automate database provisioning and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, backup, High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
• Perform database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Support data governance and Master Data Management (MDM) principles to ensure data consistency.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure appropriate data protection and compliance standards.

Your Profile

• Strong experience with cloud-native and distributed database environments.
• Proven experience with multi-cloud and hybrid architectures.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas or equivalent NoSQL/cloud-native database technologies.
• Good understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database architectures.
• Experience with event-driven data architectures.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles.
• Experience designing and operating multi-cloud database deployment patterns.
• Good knowledge of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, backup and database performance optimisation.
• Strong understanding of automation, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
• Strong DevOps mindset and ability to collaborate with architecture, development and security teams.
