ANSAM Group is seeking a Cloud - Database Engineer to design and operate distributed data environments across multi-cloud and hybrid architectures in Switzerland. You will ensure data consistency, performance, and resilience while enabling automated database operations and security.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Database Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in database administration or engineering, preferably within cloud-native and distributed environments.
• Strong expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud database deployments.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, MongoDB, or equivalent relational and NoSQL technologies.
• Knowledge of automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

• Develop and manage distributed database solutions supporting microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Establish and maintain data ownership models, including database-per-service architectures.
• Administer and optimise relational and NoSQL databases based on business and technical requirements.
• Build and operate database platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and Alibaba Cloud.
• Ensure database performance, scalability, availability, and resilience.
• Maintain data integrity, synchronisation, and event-driven data flows across systems.
• Automate database provisioning and operations using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
• Implement monitoring, backup, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Contribute to data governance and Master Data consistency across the technology landscape.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for a Cloud - Database Engineer to support the design and operation of distributed, service-oriented data environments within a complex technology landscape.

The role focuses on ensuring data consistency, performance, scalability, and resilience across multi-cloud and hybrid architectures, while supporting modern database and DevOps practices.

You will collaborate closely with technology, architecture, security, and development teams to design reliable data platforms, automate database operations, and ensure data remains secure and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Key Skills & Experience

• University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Database Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in database administration or engineering, preferably within cloud-native and distributed environments.
• Strong expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud database deployments.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, MongoDB, or equivalent relational and NoSQL technologies.
• Good understanding of microservices-based data architectures and distributed database patterns.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and Master Data Management (MDM).
• Strong knowledge of database security, availability, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative, pragmatic, and service-oriented mindset.
• Experience working with databases in complex technology environments is a plus.
• Fluent English; French at B1 level or above
