As a Data Scientist at Quantis, you will contribute to the development of digital products and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) databases. Your work will support global companies in measuring, understanding, and reducing their environmental impact.

Joining the Quantis data team means...

  • Actively contribute to the evolution of Quantis LCA databases, by developing approaches for data collection, manipulation, processing, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with LCA specialists and environmental engineers, ensuring rigorous scientific accuracy.
  • Develop deep sector-specific data expertise in our priority industries: food & beverage, apparel, and cosmetics.
  • Engage directly with leading sustainability professionals and leverage their insights to build impactful data solutions.

Does this describe you?

  • You are passionate and driven to use your technical and analytical expertise to advance global sustainability and align businesses with Planetary Boundaries.
  • You hold a Master's degree (or higher) in Data Science, Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • You have robust data manipulation skills and a proven track record of building data-driven models and applications.
  • You are proficient in Python, enthusiastic about AI and machine learning, and actively exploring innovative applications of LLMs and related technologies.
  • You excel at working with structured and semi-structured data sets and enjoy transforming complex data into meaningful insights.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to clearly present complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • You thrive in collaborative team environments, providing technical guidance, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to team growth.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently in fluent English; proficiency in French would be an advantage.

Additional nice-to-have knowledge:

  • You have prior experience or substantial familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
  • You possess knowledge in agricultural modeling or other sustainability-focused sectors.
