Unique AI is building a secure GenAI platform for the financial sector in Zurich. We are seeking a Data Scientist who will craft production AI agents and systems to deliver real business impact.

You will work closely with product and engineering teams, focusing on building scalable AI workflows, deploying GenAI solutions, and communicating complex concepts to stakeholders. Hybrid work setup in Zurich with remote days offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building software or ML/AI products.
• 2+ years developing LLM-based systems; finance experience a plus.
• Production GenAI delivery and AI Agents experience.
• Hands-on with LLMs: tool calling and prompting for customer use cases.
• Strong Python coding for production-ready AI pipelines.

We are now looking for a Data Scientist who is passionate about building production AI agents for the Financial Services Industry on Unique's platform.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building software or ML/AI products, including 2+ years developing LLM-based systems; experience in financial services (hedge funds, asset management, trading, or fintech) is a plus
• Production GenAI delivery: Solid understanding of AI systems and their functionalisites, such as deep research and other applied AI techniques and proven experience in developing and deploying GenAI solutions in production environments; hands-on experience with AI Agents is a plus
• Hands-on experience with LLMs: including tool calling and low-level experimentation beyond frameworks, as well as prompt engineering for customer use cases
• Engineering skills: strong Python coding skillsto translate these concepts into production-ready workflows and maintain robust AI pipelines
• Communication:exceptional communication and documentation skills; comfortable working with technical and business stakeholders, including senior client representatives, and communicating clearly when navigating ambiguity
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field - or equivalent demonstrated experience shipping production AI systems
