JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our dynamic Revenue Management team. In this role, you'll harness your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to optimize our revenue strategies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement predictive models to forecast demand and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Apply time series analysis and machine learning techniques to improve demand forecasting and inventory management.
  • Manage and enhance interactive web applications for data visualization.
  • Perform web scraping to gather external data relevant to revenue management.
  • Generate actionable insights from data analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Review and document code to ensure clarity, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data science methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with TensorFlow, Keras, Streamlit, Prophet.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, and time series analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of web scraping techniques and tools.
  • Proven ability to industrialize models and deploy solutions into production environments.
  • Experience with deploying applications and models using Docker, Jenkins, and similar tools.
  • Strong skills in ETL processes and data architecture.
