Zusammenfassung

SII Switzerland is seeking a Data Engineer to design and scale ETL/ELT pipelines and translate business needs into robust data structures.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts and business departments, applying PySpark and SQL to clean and prepare data, while ensuring data quality and lineage in a modern data platform. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus. This is a permanent, on-site role in Zurich.

Qualifikationen

• Initial practical experience in Data Engineering (internship or working student).
• Strong Python (PySpark) and SQL skills.
• Solid understanding of modern data architectures (Data Lakehouse, distributed systems).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases and unstructured data.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop and scale ETL/ELT pipelines to process large, complex data in a Big Data context.
• Create and maintain semantic data models for centralized enterprise data.
• Implement automated data quality checks and ensure data lineage.
• Write clean, high-performance PySpark and SQL code for data preparation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Scientists, Analysts and business units.
