Job summary

Lombard Odier Investment Managers is seeking a Data Engineer to join our AI Transformation programme. You will build scalable data pipelines, enabling high-quality data for analytics, AI solutions, and investment processes within a regulated asset management environment.

In collaboration with AI Engineers and business stakeholders, you will design modern data architectures, implement governance and quality controls, and deliver reusable data products across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS, data engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or similar role.
• Very strong Python and SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or MS Fabric.
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.
• Strong data modelling, ETL/ELT and data integration patterns.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
• Interest in modern AI technologies and data architectures.
• Exposure to financial services is a plus.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Autonomous, pragmatic and delivery-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines from internal systems and vendors into trusted datasets.
• Support ingestion and processing of structured and unstructured data sources.
• Ensure data freshness, consistency, reliability and accessibility.
• Contribute to modern data architectures supporting analytics and AI initiatives.
• Build reusable data products and datasets for organization-wide use.
• Implement data quality controls and observability across pipelines.
• Support data governance, metadata management, lineage and documentation.
• Maintain documentation of data flows, transformations and dependencies.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, data platform teams and stakeholders.
