Job summary

Lombard Odier Group seeks a Data Architect to define and govern the data architecture across business domains. You will liaise between Data Office, IT development and Business teams to promote data standards and drive innovation in data technologies.

The role requires 8+ years of data architecture/engineering experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and expertise in data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT and data governance. A predominantly on-site Swiss-based position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or similar roles.
• Delivered transformation and innovation projects in large-scale organizations.
• Excellent command of Financial Services regulatory challenges.
• Strong data architecture, data lakes, data warehouses (event-driven, microservices, data mesh).
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data lifecycle management.
• Data governance, compliance, and security expertise.
• Experience with the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Fabric, Power Platform, Pureview) a plus.
• Knowledge of hosting strategies (on-premise, cloud, hybrid) and vendor relations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to engage with C-level and IT/business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture framework to support business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Define a scalable, efficient, and modern data architecture with engineers and business teams.
• Establish data architecture policies, standards, and best practices in data domains.
• Advise on data modelling, integration models and data architecture best practices.
• Support data owners and custodians through the data lifecycle, ensuring traceability and compliance.
• Contribute to data architecture and governance bodies, supporting data lineage and data quality initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to provide recommendations.
