Zusammenfassung

Digital Realty Zurich data center seeks a Site Engineer to maintain critical electrical and mechanical systems, own maintenance and repair activities, coordinate subcontractors, manage incident responses, and ensure uninterrupted services in line with SLAs and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with engineering operations and cross-functional teams, drive energy efficiency, document compliance, and support ongoing performance improvements while working in a structured shift pattern

Qualifikationen

• Technical background in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics or related industrial area.
• Swiss EFZ diploma or equivalent, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Willingness to work in shifts (including night shifts) and flexible rotation schedules.
• 2–3 years of experience in mission-critical operations and maintenance of large-scale electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems.
• Data center experience is a plus.
• Strong English communications (B2+); German advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Participate in structured shift rotation including two days of morning, afternoon, and night shifts with 4 days rest.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors; maintain routine inspections and incident responses.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and mechanical safety standards and audits.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and problem resolution.
• Build strong team relationships aligned with Digital Realty values.
