Zusammenfassung

Digital Realty is seeking a Site Engineer (f/m/d) for our Zurich data center. You will own maintenance and repair activities on complex electrotechnical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and SLAs.

You will coordinate subcontractors, lead on-call duties, and drive energy efficiency while supporting cross-functional departments. You will mentor junior staff, provide technical leadership, and help maintain uninterrupted services in a high-pressure, 3-shift

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or technical education in engineering or similar field.
• Experience with mission-critical operations and maintenance is essential.
• Strong troubleshooting, measurement equipment, and infrastructure surveillance skills.
• Ability to manage external service providers and coordinate maintenance tasks.
• Solid understanding of BMS systems, SLAs, and energy optimization practices.
• Experience supervising technicians or engineers and guiding teams.
• Independent, organized, and capable of prioritizing under pressure.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset.
• Strong English communication; German a plus.

Aufgaben

• Own maintenance and repair activities on electrotechnical and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and external service providers.
• Conduct routine inspections and manage incident responses.
• Participate in on-call duties and shift work.
• Drive site energy efficiency and process improvements.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and training to junior staff.
• Serve as link between customer service, security and third-party providers to support Zurich site performance.
