Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our new Data Office and help shape our data culture. In this role, you willwork within an agile framework to define guiding architectural principles around data and provide oversight over all data-relatedresources. You will have an overview and active participation in ongoing data initiatives and serve as the contact point for technicalquestions around data. Additionally, you will be part of the data governance organization, ensuring that our data practices arerobust and effective. Main responsibilities:

Design & Manage Data Architecture: Create data models, flow diagrams, and database structures while ensuring performance and cost efficiency.

Ensure Data Security & Governance: Establish security frameworks and enforce policies for data quality, integrity, and compliance.

Collaborate Across Teams: Work with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Implement & Optimize Data Integration: Develop strategies for seamless data flow and maintain clear documentation of pipelines and processes.

Lead & Innovate: Provide technical guidance, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and drive improvements in data practices.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in data architecture with a strong focus on data modeling and data integration, ideally in an international environment
• Proficiency in SQL, working experience with ETL tools and data integration technologies, and alsogovernance frameworks and tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (mainly Azure) and related services, and Snowflake as a data platform (Snowflake or Azure certification is a plus)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Verbal and written communication skills in English. German a plus
