The Digital Scale-up Team is a newly formed unit in the Digital Research and Innovation teams dedicated to scaling up innovative products to serve governments leveraging state-of-the-art digital technologies.
We are looking for a person to join our team with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to identify problems, take ownership, and drive innovative solutions with minimal guidance while balancing technical excellence and business value.
The Cryptography Engineer will help design, prototype, and implement secure cryptographic solutions that will serve as the foundation of next-generation security architectures.
Responsibilities include shaping new concepts in cryptographic security through rapid prototyping, collaborating with software engineers, security architects, and product teams, delivering prototypes and sandbox environments, researching cryptographic techniques such as MPC, TEE, HSMs, and applying cryptographic standards like FIPS, PKI, NIST, ISO/IEC 27001. The role also involves assessing security risks, acting as a mentor, and engaging with external experts.
Requirements include a PhD or Master’s in Cryptography, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields, expertise in applied cryptography, cryptographic standards, proficiency in Rust, strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset. Fluency in English is required; French is a plus. Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA are advantageous.
