Job summary

IMC Trading in Switzerland seeks an experienced AML Officer to support AML/KYC activities for crypto counterparties and digital asset businesses. The role requires strong knowledge of AML/CTF risks in crypto markets and the ability to perform independent risk assessments and engage with front office teams.

You will manage CDD, EDD and ongoing monitoring, coordinate with Trading, Legal and Compliance, and contribute to policy guidance and governance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of AML/KYC/CDD experience within crypto, trading, banking or regulated finance.
• Strong understanding of EDD requirements and risk-based assessments.
• Experience analyzing complex ownership structures and sanctions risks.

Responsibilities

• Perform CDD and periodic reviews for crypto counterparties.
• Conduct risk-based counterparty reviews with EDD.
• Analyze ownership structures including offshore and layered entities.
• Assess AML/CTF and sanctions risks by counterparties, products, and jurisdictions.
• Manage escalations for high-risk counterparties and onboarding.
• Prepare risk assessments and escalation memos for senior approval.
• Conduct adverse media and sanctions screening using screening tools.
• Identify AML/CTF red flags for digital assets and counterparties.
• Review wallet-related information and blockchain intelligence outputs.
