The Bachem Group is investing in a new site in Sisslerfeld in Northwestern Switzerland. This step is part of the long-term strategy to expand production capacity by the end of the decade. The new production site will play a central role in achieving these goals.

The initiation phase of the project offers you unique opportunities to shape the future organization. To strengthen our team in the Global Engineering department, we are looking for a committed Contracting and Procurement Specialist (f/m/d), 100%.

• Steering and optimization of the entire procurement process, including selection and negotiation with suppliers
• Conclusion of contracts with planning, construction management and contractor companies
• After-contract management: Monitoring and ensuring the fulfillment of contract terms post-signature, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring compliance throughout the contract’s duration
• Develop and implement a change management process, including stakeholder approval and communication. Maintain records, generate reports, adjust budgets
• Collaborate with other PMO parties (e.g. scheduler) to integrate changes into project schedules and other PM tools
• Managing contract statuses, preparing regular cost reports, and maintaining financial records
• Creation and management of confidentiality agreements to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information

Your profile:

• Degree in business administration, engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in procurement, ideally in the construction and pharmaceutical industry
• Experience in purchasing long lead items
• Sound knowledge of contract management and change management
• Strong analytical skills and experience of using Power BI
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic and complex project environment
• High tolerance for ambiguity and capability to manage uncertainty while maintaining effective decision-making
• Very good knowledge of German and English, project language in English
