World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO is seeking a Consultant to provide user training, customer support and sequence services development for the WIPO BRIDGE project. The role involves coordinating learning activities, mentoring and training delivery at Geneva-based settings or remote/offsite with periodic onsite meetings.

The incumbent will support planning, execution control, and data collection for user feedback, while ensuring alignment with PRINCE2 principles and Stage Gate

Qualifikationen

  • Two+ years experience coordinating and delivering online training in IP or life sciences.
  • Six+ years progressive project experience including digital customer journey delivery and management.
  • Planning, scheduling, reporting, tracking, meeting coordination, risk and issue follow up.
  • Coordination of training, capacity building and mentoring, including trainer/mentor coordination and learning-material workflows.
  • Stakeholder management, drafting, organization and communication across business, technical and legal interfaces.

Title of Assignment: Consultant - User Training, Customer Support and Sequence Services Development Delivery and Control for a WIPO Bridge Project Phase

Name of unit/sector: Global Challenges and Partnerships Sector, Traditional Knowledge Division (TKD)

Place of Assignment: Geneva-based or offsite with occasional onsite meetings as required

Expected duration of assignment: As soon as possible and until March 31, 2027

I. Objective of the assignment

The objective of this assignment is to provide User Training, Customer Support and Sequence Services Development Delivery and Control for a WIPO BRIDGE Enhancement Project Phase to the WIPO BRIDGE Product Owner for the further enhancement and exploration of sequence services.

The Consultant will support controlled delivery of further exploration and development, including training, mentoring and customer journey coordination; training coordination for test customer groups and other ongoing development activities (ODAs); integrated planning and execution control; workpackage/stakeholder consultations and coordination; CMS/LMS and learning-environment design and management; data collection for user feedback and market research; reporting; risk, issue, change and deliverable control; stakeholder liaison; and material for PRR, DBC and Stage Gate readiness.

The Consultant will deliver timebound work packages through agreed project management and documentation tools. Outputs shall be measurable, accepted by WIPO and will include the following areas:

1) User training and customer journey of WIPO BRIDGE user groups, lead customer groups (LCG), partnerships, data collection cycles and ODAs
  • Two training cycle logistics, training and evidence pack delivered - by September 1, 2026.
  • LCG/test user group participants, trainers, mentors and coach trackers of four training cycles, including collected user feedback data - by December 15, 2026, updated by January 31, 2027.
2) Digital workspaces and tools, platform operations and LCG training design and delivery
  • LCG digital learning environment pack, including spaces, workflows and filing structure - by September 30, 2026.
  • Updated training- and other delivery notes, Lens exercise pack and platform follow-up log - by November 30, 2026, updated by February 28, 2027.
3) WIPO BRIDGE workpackage readiness, initiation, planning and execution control on sequence services development
  • Training and sequence services readiness and execution control packages, including roadmaps, stage plans, trackers and roles matrix - by August 31, 2026.
  • Four status briefs, updated plans and trackers – by August 31, 2026, and monthly thereafter until March 31, 2027.
4) Stakeholder, supplier, service provider and work package support, reporting and Stage Gate evidence
  • Eight project/budget brief, dashboard, risk/issue/dependency log and comment matrix - by August 30, 2026 and thereafter last day of each month for seven months.
  • Final progress file, lessons note, follow-on actions and Stage Gate documentation package - by March 31, 2027.
III. Reporting

The Consultant will report to the Product Owner of the WIPO BRIDGE platform. In accordance with PRINCE2 principles, the Consultant reports to the Product Owner as the Executive of the sequence services enhancement and exploration for the platform.

IV. Profile Required

Area of Specialization / Expertise:

  • at least two years of experience with online training coordination and delivery in the intellectual property or life sciences fields;
  • at least six years of progressively responsible intellectual property, life science or other project experience, including digital customer journey delivery, control and management in multi-stakeholder environments;
  • planning, scheduling, reporting, tracking, meeting coordination, risk and issue follow up and documentation experience;
  • demonstrated coordination of training, capacity building, customer groups, mentoring or customer journey programmes, including trainer/mentor/tutor/coach/expert coordination, session logistics, learning-material workflows, feedback capture and reporting;
  • stakeholder management, drafting, organization and communication skills across business, technical, legal, administrative and external interfaces;

Specific Knowledge / Experience:

6. experience with CMS, LMS and collaboration platforms;

Language: Excellent written and spoken English.

Education: Advanced university degree in law, business administration, education management, international relations or development studies, life sciences, information management or related field.

Desirable: Familiarity with IP, WIPO BRIDGE, The Lens, sequence data, user training, mentoring or related innovation/training ecosystems.

V. Duration of Contract and Payment

The contract is expected to start as soon as possible and run until March 31, 2027 for a full-time activity rate (100%), with the possibility of extension subject to funding and performance, up to a maximum of two years at 100% activity rate.

The Candidates are requested to submit a financial proposal comprising the following elements:

a) Daily rate in Swiss Francs;

b) Effort allocation: The Candidate shall submit a table indicating the estimated allocation of effort across deliverables, expressed as a percentage of total working time. The total must be equal to 100%.

The maximum contract value will be calculated based on the daily rate multiplied by working days, corresponding to a maximum of 152 full-time working days at 100% activity rate. Payment will be made monthly upon submission and approval of a progress report confirming the status of deliverables for the period, as reviewed and approved by the TKD.

The expected daily rate may be negotiated based on location, qualifications and experience.

VI. Other information

ICS contractors fall outside WIPO Staff Regulations and Rules and are not entitled to vacation or sick leave, except WIPO holidays, medical insurance or staff pension. Absences are deducted pro rata.
