Purpose Of Assignment
The UNICEF Country Office Development and Support (CODAS) section within Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) in Geneva, Switzerland, is seeking a Digital Specialist to provide implementation support for the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region, Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) Clusters/ROs (LAC, ROSA, ECA and MENA RO), and related Country Office (CO) PSFR teams. The incumbent will also support testing in Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA) and West and Central Africa (WCA) regions, ensuring they meet their 2025-2026 goals. The role involves working directly with Cluster Managers, CO PSFR teams, Regional Office teams, ICT, CODAS, and external agencies to ensure PSFR entities achieve their goals and develop ambitious plans for 2027 onwards. Internal collaboration with relevant stakeholders will support tracking and reporting to aid goal delivery.
Scope Of Work
The incumbent will report to the PFP Market Development Manager, CODAS and work closely with Regional Office teams, ICT, Cluster Managers, CO PSFR teams, and external agencies.
- Be responsible for Paid Media, including all digital communications aimed at generating visits, leads, and conversions across COs and Clusters.
- Ensure relevant digital infrastructure is in place (e.g., Global Giving Platform for digital marketing). Collaborate with ICT to ensure landing pages and integration with providers are established; play a major role in ensuring the digital infrastructure is in place.
- Assess and implement back-end tracking and analytics to monitor results; manage pixels in Google Tag Manager; contribute to setting up the digital dashboard.
- Monitor online advertising campaigns, propose improvements, analyze campaign data, report results, and recommend optimizations.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers (agencies, systems, and tools) to ensure optimal results.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate objectives, strategies, and actions in digital capture channels (SEO/SEM, Display, Real-Time Bidding, social media, affiliation, database capture) to maximize volume, ROI, and brand image.
- Train digital personnel in COs on paid media to enable management of future campaigns where applicable.
- Define SEM strategy, implement campaigns, monitor ROI, and recommend improvements.
- Optimize landing pages to maximize conversion rate.
- Create, manage, and implement pay-per-click campaigns.
- Conduct keyword research and analysis.
- Manage budgets for remarketing and ROI analysis.
- Optimize campaigns for maximum return on investment.
Specific Responsibilities In Social Media Ads (where Needed)
- Define social advertising strategy aligned to UNICEF’s strategy with CO PSFR and Communications.
- Develop, implement, and manage social media advertising campaigns according to defined strategy.
- Provide strategies for campaign segmentation, targeting, and cost-effectiveness.
- Measure profitability of advertising channels, track metrics, and monitor conversations.
- Plan, define, and optimize lead generation campaigns through social media or other channels.
Work Assignments Overview
- Reporting on progression of goals versus targets on active campaigns in ECA Cluster and PSFR Cos, in addition to relevant tests.

- Provide monthly progress report on the implementation of plans versus KPIs as per scope of work.
Qualifications
Education
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or higher) in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, Management, or another relevant technical field is required.
- Alternatively, a first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in Digital Fundraising and/or Digital Marketing, specifically in Paid Media campaigns and implementation, is required.
- Proven experience establishing digital infrastructure (landing pages, CRM systems, and digital payment solutions).
- Hands-on experience in developing markets or UNICEF regional/country offices is required.
- Experience working across multiple countries is desirable.
- Proven experience across multiple and emerging markets is required.
- Proven multicultural, cross-functional team experience is required.
- Understanding of UNICEF systems, processes, and operations is an asset.
Language
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.

Remarks
