We invite you to join our Switzerland Controlling team as Commercial Controller, a role at the intersection of finance, commercial strategy and business performance. You will influence decisions with data-driven insights, supporting Sales, Marketing, Real Estate and Finance to drive growth.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in Controlling, Commercial Finance, Business Analytics or Performance Management.
• Experience in multinational environments; FMCG/Retail/Consumer Goods is a plus.
• Fluent in English and strong analytical mindset.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Commercial Controller to join our Switzerland Controlling team.

In this role, you will act as a key business partner for Sales, Marketing, Real Estate and Finance teams, helping drive performance across one of Switzerland's leading retail networks.

More than a traditional controlling position, this role sits at the intersection of finance, commercial strategy and business performance. You will influence decision-making through data-driven insights, challenge assumptions, identify growth opportunities and support strategic initiatives that directly impact company results.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Performance Management

• Monitor and analyze commercial performance across stores, banners and product categories, key business performance indicators and strategic growth drivers
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities to support business decision-making
• Provide actionable recommendations to Sales and Management teams
• Conduct profitability analyses at store, area and network level
• Support business cases related to store openings, relocations and investment decisions

Planning, Forecasting & Target Setting

• Support budget, forecast and target-setting processes
• Contribute to the definition of commercial objectives at store, area and banner level
• Monitor performance against targets and proactively identify improvement opportunities
• Participate in monthly and quarterly performance reviews with business stakeholders

Incentive Schemes & Strategic Projects

• Support the design, calculation and monitoring of incentive schemes
• Assess the effectiveness of commercial initiatives and performance programmes
• Contribute to cross-functional projects involving Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance
• Deliver ad hoc analyses and business cases to support key strategic decisions

Reporting & Business Insights

• Develop and enhance management reporting and performance dashboards
• Translate complex datasets into meaningful business insights
• Support senior management reviews and decision-making processes
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting automation and data quality

What We’re Looking For

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• 3-4 years of experience in Controlling, Commercial Finance, Business Analytics or Performance Management
• Experience within multinational environments. FMCG, Retail or Consumer Goods experience is a strong advantage
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to transform data into clear business recommendations
• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of SAP and planning tools is a plus
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English
