LocalBini is seeking a Co-Tech Lead & Senior Python Engineer to join our hybrid/remote team. You will design and implement robust backend systems in Python, build infrastructure with Terraform on AWS, and drive software quality through tests.

Collaboration with the part-time remote team and in-house stakeholders is essential to scale our platform. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in Python, deep AWS knowledge (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Open Search), REST API design, and a DevOps mindset with CI/CD.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of hands-on Python experience.
• Proficient with Python stack: React, AWS, Terraform, Flutter.
• Extensive Python REST API development experience.
• Knowledge of AWS services: DynamoDB, OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL (ORM-based).
• Terraform in AWS environments.
• Awareness of asyncio, aiohttp, EventBridge.
• Experience with Event-Driven / Microservices architectures.

Co-Tech Lead & Senior Python Engineer (parttime OR full-time)

This position is tailor-made for individuals seeking to actively contribute to the expansive growth of LocalBini within a cutting-edge technological landscape. Your daily responsibilities will encompass a spectrum of tasks, including backend development using Python, architecting infrastructure with Terraform on AWS. Moreover, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring software quality through the creation of comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with our System-Architect to ensure a continued high quality architecture and code basis as well as further scalable development.
• Collaborate seamlessly with our part-time remote development team as well as the St. Gallen business team to conceptualize and refine the software solution.
• Craft robust back-end applications using Python, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop the infrastructure with Terraform, leveraging AWS PaaS, SaaS, FaaS, and IaaS to create a scalable and efficient ecosystem.
• Conduct thorough testing to validate software responsiveness and efficiency, while prioritizing the security and confidentiality of user data.
• Implement mobile-responsive design principles for features and applications, ensuring an exceptional experience across various devices.
• Generate comprehensive technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to enhance the LocalBini experience through continuous improvement and innovation.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of eight (8) years of hands-on commercial experience with Python.
• Proficient with our technology stack: React, AWS (Lambda, S3, SES, SQS), Python, Terraform, and Flutter.
• Extensive Python expertise, with a focus on building REST APIs.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, incl. DynamoDB & Elastic Search (Open Search).
• Familiarity with ORM-based approaches using PSQL.
• Proficiency in Terraform within an AWS environment.
• Strong understanding of asyncio loops, aiohttp, and AWS EventBridge.
• Experience in Event-Driven and Microservices Architectures.
• Knowledge about Domain Driven Development approach.
• Basic understanding of React with Redux and Redux Toolkit using TypeScript.
• Highly experienced with AWS Cognito and AWS Amplify.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
• Proficient in platform testing: Unit tests, Integration tests and UI tests.
• DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipeline maintenance expertise (GitLab).
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity, including the ability to conduct and understand automated penetration tests.
• Familiarity with AWS cost and performance optimization.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Capability for self-code review and proficiency in project management tools like JIRA.

NICE TO HAVE

• Commercial experience with Lambdalizator framework.

This role is hybrid/remote and meetings may take place “in-the-office” from time to time.

Currently and for the next 12 months, the role is compensated only in company stocks.
