Qualifikationen

  • University degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in claims preparation and contract administration within contractor environments (in major civil infrastructure).
  • Demonstrable capability in drafting detailed claim narratives and substantiated submissions.
  • Solid understanding of contractual entitlement, risk allocation, and dispute processes.
  • Fluency in English and French; German considered an advantage.

Overview:

Our client is a globally recognised international infrastructure group delivering major transportation and civil engineering projects across Europe and internationally. Within the organisation sits a highly specialised internal commercial and contract advisory division that operates as a centre of excellence across live projects.

As part of continued growth and increasing project complexity across Switzerland, they are seeking a Claims Manager/Claims Specialist to strengthen their contractual risk management and entitlement capability. This role will focus on proactive claims preparation, drafting, and contractual protection across major infrastructure programmes.

The Opportunity:

An opportunity exists for an experienced Claims Manager/Specialist to join a strategic project support function based in Switzerland.

This position will support large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure works, working closely with commercial leadership and project teams to ensure robust entitlement preservation and structured claims preparation. You will be responsible for preparing well-evidenced, contractually grounded claims submissions, drafting clear and persuasive narratives, and safeguarding the organisation’s contractual position across complex live project environments.

The role offers exposure to high-value infrastructure works within a structured international contractor environment.

Your Responsibilities:

Your Profile:
  • University degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong background in major civil infrastructure or heavy engineering projects
  • Proven experience in claims preparation and contract administration within contractor environments
  • Demonstrable capability in drafting detailed claim narratives and substantiated submissions
  • Solid understanding of contractual entitlement, risk allocation, and dispute processes
  • Ideally holds or is working toward an LL.M in Construction Law, Arbitration, or Dispute Resolution (or similar postgraduate qualification)
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working within structured, multinational project environments
  • Fluency in English and French is essential; German would be advantageous
