On behalf of our client, a large and prestigious company with Headquarters close to Zug, we are managing the search of an engaged, visionary and people-oriented CIO.

In this executive role, you will be responsible for shaping and optimizing the company's global digitalisation roadmap. You will drive the advancement of business intelligence and analytics, ensure robust IT security, and maintain and future-proof a scalable global infrastructure.

Additional critical elements of this role include ensuring a successful global roll out of a new ERP system, developing the IT organization and managing the IT budget.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Digitalization and ERP:

  • Further develop and implement the global IT strategy with a focus on digital transformation and ERP systems
  • Project responsibility for the global rollout of Microsoft Dynamics ERP

Business Intelligence and Analytics:

  • Design, implement, and optimize systems to drive data-informed decision making through business intelligence, analytics and AI
  • Support change processes and promote a future-oriented, digital corporate culture

Infrastructure and IT Security:

  • Develop and standardization of the global IT infrastructure (data centers, networks, devices). Implementation and operation of modern cloud infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud models) with consideration of performance, scalability, and cost control
  • Ensuring high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery on a global scale
  • Enhance and sustain robust IT Security systems and practices across the organization
  • Strategic procurement and continuous optimization of hardware and software, including needs analysis, supplier management, contract negotiations, and optimization of costs, licenses, and performance

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a forward thinking and inspirational leader for an international IT team of over 50 FTEs
  • Oversee and manage external technology partners
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level leadership

Your Profile contains the following:

  • Completed degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a related field
  • Proven track record as an IT executive with global responsibility
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, ideally in large scale implementations
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructures, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and IT service management
  • Experience in leading and delivering large and complex IT projects
  • Deep knowledge and affinity towards business intelligence, analytics and AI
  • Depth and breadth of knowledge and initiatives to be able to act as a key facilitator and promoter towards the business
  • Experience in building international IT structures and harmonizing processes across borders
  • Experience in the technical leadership and integration of M&A transactions (including IT due diligence, carve-outs, integrations)
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, including at C-level
  • Forward thinking leadership style which embraces innovation and drives changes
  • Fluent in German and English. Additional languages such as French are a plus
  • High intercultural competence and willingness to travel internationally
  • Experience in dynamic, international environments
