As part of our growth and structuring efforts, we are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive the execution of our vision and optimize the company’s operational performance.

Your Mission

As COO, you will act as the strategic right-hand of the Founder & CEO. You will be responsible for transforming the company’s vision into actionable initiatives and ensuring seamless project execution. Your role will be to optimize internal organization, oversee team and process management, and ensure operational efficiency to support our expansion.

You will thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment, requiring high autonomy and strong anticipation skills.

Key Responsibilities

Structuring and Managing Operations

  • Translate the strategic vision into concrete action plans with clear objectives and deadlines.
  • Implement efficient and scalable processes for recruitment, outplacement, and events.
  • Standardize and document best practices to ensure operational consistency and growth.
  • Oversee interdepartmental coordination (recruitment, marketing, events) and enhance internal communication.

Leading and Developing Teams

  • Supervise and mentor teams (recruiters, marketing, assistants, consultants, etc.).
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure rigorous monitoring of results.
  • Hire and onboard top talents to support Ampersand World’s growth.
  • Ensure team members operate within a structured framework with well-defined roles.

Financial Performance and Cost Optimization

  • Oversee budgeting and optimize operational costs.
  • Ensure the profitability of various services and events.
  • Implement reporting tools for accurate performance tracking and fast decision-making.

Freeing the CEO from Operational Aspects

  • Handle day-to-day business matters, allowing the CEO to focus on strategic growth.
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and teams, making decisions and providing relevant reporting.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively suggest solutions to enhance business efficiency.

Ideal Profile

Experience & Key Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management, project leadership, or business management, ideally in recruitment, consulting, or premium services.
  • Higher education degree ideally in finance or engineering. Backgrounds from audit or consulting firms are highly appreciated.
  • Proven ability to structure, organize, and drive complex projects.
  • Strong experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and align teams.
  • Mastery of KPIs and reporting tools to drive performance.
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to optimize operational profitability.
  • Experience in high-end B2B services or talent management is highly valued.
  • Experience in recruitment or outplacement is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Fluent in both French and English, with excellent communication skills.
