Our client, established in 1974 by a pair of engineering graduates from a prestigious technical university in Turin, specializes in Numerical Controls for machine tools and high-speed milling machines, primarily serving the automotive and aerospace industries. Known for its commitment to innovation, the company allocates over 10% of its turnover to research and development, ensuring products meet high standards of precision and productivity. With a strong global presence and a network of subsidiaries providing prompt after-sales service, the company has been listed on a major stock exchange since 2001, highlighting its growth and market influence.

Position: Chief Financial Officer

A major company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial operations and contribute to strategic planning during a pivotal organizational transition. The CFO will be based in Veneto and will oversee the relocation of key functions to this new hub, reporting directly to the General Manager. This role is crucial in leading the financial department and optimizing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Oversight and Management: Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure stability and growth.
  2. Financial Reporting: Develop and present accurate monthly financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  3. Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior executives to shape strategic direction, analyze financial data, and inform decision-making.
  4. Operational Management: Lead the relocation of financial operations to Forli, ensuring a smooth transition.
  5. Team Leadership and Development: Build and maintain a high-performing financial team, fostering continuous improvement.
  6. Financial Controls: Implement controls and governance frameworks to mitigate risks and protect assets.
  7. Innovation and Process Improvement: Drive innovation in financial practices, evaluate, and improve systems and processes.
  8. Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial partners, ensuring transparency and compliance.
  9. Risk Management: Monitor financial risks and develop mitigation strategies, establishing comprehensive risk procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven senior financial experience, ideally in a publicly listed company.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Leadership skills with experience in developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey financial concepts.
  • Innovative mindset, open to change and continuous improvement.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism.
