As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).
The aim of this position is to manage all Engineering Flight Physics activities related to the domains of Aerodynamic, Loads, Dynamics, Performance, Flight Mechanics, Noise and Weight & Balance of Helicopters.
Responsibilities:
►Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the multi-disciplinary team to support the development of Rotors, Transmission, Airframe Structures, Airframe systems and Avionics
►Develop and perform overall technical planning and provide airworthiness verification support
►Work closely with engineering leadership (Head of Departments) and other subjects matter experts for the review and approval of engineering design solutions
