Zusammenfassung

The Education and Innovation Department in Winterthur is seeking a dedicated Project Manager Education and Innovation to join from 1 November 2026. The fixed-term role lasts 9 to 12 months, with a possible permanent contract.

You will lead and coordinate projects across primary education, advise school boards, prepare data, design municipal training, and develop decision-making bases under cantonal priorities.

The Education and Innovation Department offers a diverse field of activity with the opportunity to actively shape the further development of primary education in Winterthur.

The Education and Innovation Department of the School and Sports Department is part of the school support services in the school office and plans and manages projects in various educational areas of primary education.

To support our team, we are looking for a committed individual as Project Manager Education and Innovation from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement. The position is fixed-term for 9 to 12 months, with the option of a permanent contract.

Your tasks

• Leading, collaborating on, and implementing projects in various areas of primary education and education based on cantonal and municipal guidelines and priorities
• Active networking, coordination, advising, and supporting school boards, education management, school principals, and departments in the school office regarding development measures in primary education
• Preparing data for the management and control of offerings (e.g., in the area of German as a second language)
• Coordinating, planning, and co-designing municipal training for school practice personnel
• Collecting and sharing information on relevant educational topics in the assigned specialist area
• Developing decision-making bases for the department and school board (political matters)

Your profile

• Completed studies in education
• Professional experience in the educational and/or organisational field and/or in project management, preferably in primary education or adult education
• Very good knowledge of statistics and data preparation with "R"
• Interest in the further development of the service offering for the primary schools of the city of Winterthur
• Enjoyment and flexibility for changing specialist topics and projects
• Structured, precise, and independent working style, strategic and conceptual thinking, combined with sound knowledge in project management
• Interest in educational policy issues and networking
