Michael Page partners with a pioneering, fast-growing international group to recruit a Group Finance Manager in Geneva. You will be the key link between the CFO and accounting teams, shaping financial operations, reporting, and scalability as the group expands.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical accounting expertise, cross-border oversight, and the ability to drive FP&A, controls, and governance in a multi-currency environment, with close collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifikationen

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • CPA/ACCA/Swiss CPA or Chartered Accountant is highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting in international multi-entity environments.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, consolidation, audits, and Swiss tax considerations.
  • Experience in fast-growing, entrepreneurial, or private equity-backed environments is advantageous.
  • Leadership experience driving finance transformation and building scalable processes.

About Our Client

For a pioneering and fast-growing international group operating at the forefront of its industry, we are currently looking for a Group Finance Manager.

With around ten legal entities today, the group has experienced significant organic and external growth over the past few years. As the business continues to scale and increase in complexity, it is entering an exciting new phase of development.

To support this journey, we are creating a new leadership position within the Finance department. This role offers a unique opportunity to build, structure, and professionalize the finance organization while working closely with senior leadership in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

Job Description

As Group Finance Manager, you will serve as the key link between the CFO and the accounting teams across the Group. You will play a critical role in strengthening financial operations, standardizing processes, enhancing reporting capabilities, and ensuring the scalability of the finance function as the organization continues to grow.

Initially, your focus will be on establishing robust financial processes, implementing a quarterly consolidation and management reporting framework, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial information.

Over time, you will also contribute to the development of the Group's FP&A and controlling capabilities, helping transform Finance into a true business partner for operations and executive management.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, operational pragmatism, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting, Consolidation & Closing Processes
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve Group-wide month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Establish and oversee a quarterly consolidation and management reporting process across all entities.
  • Ensure the timely production of accurate and reliable financial information.
  • Develop reporting packages and KPIs to support executive decision-making.
  • Strengthen financial controls, reporting standards, and governance across the Group.
Accounting Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate accounting teams located in Geneva and selected international subsidiaries.
  • Supervise accounting operations to ensure compliance with local regulations and Group policies.
  • Review and validate statutory financial statements and supporting documentation.
  • Drive process harmonization and best practices across entities.
Audit & Compliance
  • Coordinate and manage annual external audits across the Group.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Support the implementation of scalable internal control frameworks.
Tax & Treasury
  • Oversee tax compliance matters across the Group, including: VAT, Corporate income tax, Transfer pricing
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors where appropriate.
  • Identify and proactively manage tax risks and opportunities.
  • Manage Group treasury activities in a multi-currency environment.
  • Enhance cash forecasting and liquidity management processes.
  • Support the CFO in financing initiatives and business expansion projects when required.
Systems & Finance Transformation
  • Evaluate, implement, and enhance finance tools and systems to support the Group's growing needs.
  • Lead finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote automation, efficiency, data quality, and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure finance infrastructure remains scalable as the business expands.
FP&A & Business Partnering (Medium-Term Focus)
  • Develop the foundations of a robust FP&A and controlling function.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Partner closely with operational leaders and the executive team.
  • Provide insights and analysis to drive strategic and operational decisions.
  • Help foster a performance-oriented and data-driven culture.
The Successful Applicant
Experience & Qualifications
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Swiss CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles within international and multi-entity environments.
  • Proven experience managing financial reporting, consolidation, accounting operations, and audits.
  • Previous experience in Switzerland is required.
  • Strong understanding of tax matters, including VAT, corporate income tax, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience in fast-growing, entrepreneurial, or private equity-backed environments is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving finance transformation initiatives.

  • Solid understanding of consolidation and management reporting processes.
  • Advanced financial systems and ERP knowledge.
