Nestlé Research in Lausanne invites you to join as a Cell Biology and Nutrient Absorption Intern. Based at Vers-chez-les-Blanc and EPFL, this 6‑month, 100% internship is on‑site with flexibility across both sites.

Start ASAP and gain hands‑on experience in exploring how dietary lipids are absorbed using a human intestinal stem cell model. You will collaborate with scientists and technicians, generate high‑quality data, optimize assays, and connect findings to scientific literature.

Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate in biology-related fields with genuine interest in gut physiology and lipid metabolism.
• Familiarity with molecular and cellular biology techniques and basic data analysis.
• Ability to review and interpret scientific publications with curiosity and precision.
• Collaborative mindset, initiative and effective communication in English.
• Willingness to learn and translate ideas into measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Investigate dietary lipid absorption using a human stem cell-derived intestinal model.
• Generate high-quality experimental data and mechanistic insights on lipid uptake and metabolism.
• Optimize lipid preparation, cell-based assays and analytical quantification.
• Relate experimental findings to scientific literature in intestinal biology and nutrition.
• Communicate results through analyses, reports, and presentations with multidisciplinary partners.
