Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. We have recently opened Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations with support from the UK.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).

Your mission

  • Responsible for financial planning and year-end reporting of manufacturing and development costs for our Formula 1 car
  • Main point of contact for financial matters, supporting cost optimization projects
  • Weekly update of the forecast for the Formula 1 car
  • Cost analysis of bill of materials and smooth verification of bookings with procurement
  • Ensuring compliance with FIA Financial Regulations in close collaboration with the Cost-Cap team
  • Preparation of meaningful ad-hoc analyses
  • Support for make-or-buy decisions
  • Inventory management, including monitoring the inventory process, part usage, and stock from a financial perspective

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience in motorsport or other high-tech engineering sectors
  • Advanced expertise in cost engineering and product cost controlling (e.g., BOM costing, value analysis)
  • Deep understanding of vehicle architecture, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in IT systems and data architecture: MS Excel, KNIME, Power BI, ERP (SAP), PLM, cost modeling tools
  • Strong analytical mindset and adept at handling complex, large-scale datasets
  • Independent, goal-oriented, and committed to delivering business value with a strong service mindset
  • Excellent communicator and proactive problem-solver with a collaborative approach
  • Fluent in English; German or other languages a plus
