Cafeteria Substitute

Job Description

Bland County Public Schools is now accepting applications for substitute cafeteria employees to work at either the Bland County Elementary School or Bland County High School when scheduled.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordancewith the menu.
• Washes pots, pans, and other cooking utensils. – maximum weight 25 pounds.
• Operates food service and mechanical equipment such as dishwasher, mixer, chopper, steamers, oven, and other
• Participates in daily clean-up of work surfaces, eating and food preparation areas, and equipment.
• Performs clean-up duties as assigned.
• Receives and stock food supplies – maximum weight 55 pounds.
• Courteously serves food to students while adhering to portion control, safety, and appearance standards.
• Observes and promote safe work practices and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.
• Will be available to work at either Bland County Elementary School or Bland County High School as needed.
