Sika is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for CAD/CAE/Tooling in the Corporate IT area. You will help improve engineering projects integrating CAD/CAE tools with cloud/on-prem platforms, balancing operational work with proof-of-concept developments.

Responsibilities include API integration, low-code workflow design in Synera, custom app development, data analysis, and automation scripting, with datasets and runbooks for engineers.

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical, Computational or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Basic CAD/CAE knowledge and solvers.
• Basic Python scripting and data handling (pandas/NumPy).
• Understanding of LLM usage patterns and enterprise considerations.
• Basic Git and Linux/Unix command line.
• Analytical mindset with clear written communication.
• Business awareness to judge task value in fast-changing environments.

Responsabilités

• Understand and support 3DEXPERIENCE REST APIs data definitions and integration.
• Design, build, and maintain low-code workflows in Synera linking CAD/CAE tools.
• Configure, test, and develop custom applications; document lessons learned.
• Analyze CAD/CAE data formats and propose initial solutions.
• Write scripts for pre- and post-processing and small automation tasks.
• Do basic Azure infra work and estimate costs; possibly support Google Cloud deployments.
• Prepare datasets from CAD/CAE results and support surrogate-modeling.
• Write runbooks, user guides, and short demos for engineers.
