Job summary

Sika AG in Zürich seeks an IT/PLM engineer to enhance CAE/CAD data pipelines, integrate cloud and on-prem platforms, and boost overall Product Lifecycle Management efficiency for engineering projects.

You will design low-code workflows in Synera, connect CAD/CAE with Databricks or REST APIs, test apps, document learnings, and help evaluate new development paths while analyzing data formats and contributing to surrogate-model experiments.

Qualifications

Experience with CAE/CAD data integration and PLM processes.
Proficiency in designing low-code workflows and automation.
Experience testing and evaluating software/applications in engineering environments.

Responsibilities

Understand and support 3DEXPERIENCE REST APIs data definition and integration to other systems such as Databricks or direct point-to-point integration.
Design, build, and maintain low-code workflows in Synera that connect CAD, CAE and other tools for tooling/layout optimization and other engineering tasks.
Configure, test, and develop custom applications and validate the data that flows between them.
Document lessons learned and help evaluate new development paths for the IT Application Owner (Automotive).
Analyze CAD/CAE data formats and structures, model them, and propose first solutions for review.
Write scripts for pre- and post-processing and small automation tasks.
Do basic work on infra Azure Resources (VMs, storage, compute for simulation jobs) and estimate cost and usage.
Optionally support deployments on Google Cloud Platform.
Prepare datasets from CAD/CAE results and support surrogate-modeling and design-space exploration experiments.
Write runbooks, user guides, and short demos for engineering users.
