Job summary

Sika AG is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to bridge CAD/CAE tooling with cloud and on‑prem platforms. You will work across operational systems and proof‑of‑concepts to improve PLM efficiency.

The role involves API integration, low‑code workflow design, scripting, and data analysis to enable faster engineering outcomes. Candidates should have a MSc in a relevant field, basic CAD/CAE and Python skills, knowledge of LLM concepts, and familiarity with Git and Linux.

Qualifications

• MSc. in Mechanical, Computational or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic CAD/CAE knowledge: modeling concepts, solvers, FEA.
• Basic Python: scripting and data handling (pandas/NumPy).
• Practical understanding of LLMs and governance for enterprise use.
• Basic Git and Linux/Unix command line.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of 3DEXPERIENCE REST APIs with Databricks or other systems.
• Design low-code workflows connecting CAD/CAE tools and other platforms.
• Develop and test small automation and runbooks for engineering users.
• Analyze CAD/CAE data formats and propose 初 solutions and diagrams.
• Prepare datasets from CAD/CAE results for surrogate-modeling experiments.
