Bend Law Group (BLG) is seeking a Senior Business Disputes Attorney to help lead our litigation team, shape the practice, and mentor younger attorneys. This is a rare opportunity to combine complex commercial litigation with real autonomy, collaboration, and a supportive culture.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Client Advocacy
- Lead strategy and execution in complex business disputes
- Handle complaints, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
- Communicate proactively with clients to align legal strategy with business goals
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys (2–4 years’ experience)
- Delegate strategically to develop talent and maintain excellence
- Review briefs, filings, and strategies to ensure quality and consistency
Practice Growth
- Help refine BLG’s disputes client mix and deepen focus on high-value matters
- Collaborate with firm leadership to improve litigation systems and processes
- Contribute to building a practice that is sustainable, respected, and rewarding
Typical Case Types
- Co-founder and equity holder disputes
- Breach of fiduciary duty and fraud claims
- Complex breach of contract disputes (six to eight-figure damages)
- Commercial real estate or investment-related disputes
- Strategic IP-related conflicts
Qualifications
Required:
- J.D. and active California Bar license in good standing
- At least 6 years of experience in complex commercial or business litigation
- Proven deposition, mediation, and law & motion experience
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills (especially strong legal writing)
- Comfort working in a remote environment with tools like Zoom, Slack, Clio, and Dropbox
Preferred:
- First or second chair arbitration and trial experience
- Experience supervising and mentoring attorneys
- Federal court admission (especially Northern District of California)
- Experience with IP-related disputes
Compensation
$175,000 - $250,000 yearly
