Job summary

EM Microelectronic seeks a visionary Business Unit Leader to define and drive the RFID unit's strategy, growth, and profitability. You will own the P&L, lead product roadmaps, and cultivate strategic relationships with customers, partners, and industry bodies to strengthen EM’s RFID leadership.

The role requires a strong business mindset, extensive RFID knowledge, and the ability to execute in a matrix organization. Relocation to Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is expected for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in semiconductor, RFID, connectivity, or related technology markets.
• Proven experience in business unit management, product management, marketing, or business development.
• Strong network within the RFID and broader IoT ecosystem; fluent in English; French and/or German are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L responsibility of the RFID Business Unit.
• Define and execute the RFID BU strategy with growth, profitability, and market leadership.
• Define and manage budgets, forecasts, and investment priorities to maximize ROI on innovation and product development.
• Drive product roadmap, portfolio management, and new product introductions aligned with market needs.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and industry bodies; represent EM in RFID ecosystem leadership.
• Drive business development and ecosystem partnerships in collaboration with Sales.
• Monitor market trends, competition, and emerging applications to identify new opportunities.
• Lead the RFID BU organization, including product management and RFID engineering, with collaboration across Sales and Operations.
• Define KPIs/OKRs and foster a results-oriented, innovative culture.
• Foster accountability and execution excellence across the BU.

We are seeking a visionary Business Unit Leader to define and drive the strategy, growth, and profitability of our RFID Business Unit. This role combines business leadership, product strategy, customer engagement, and innovation to strengthen EM’s leadership position and expand the adoption of RFID technologies across existing and emerging markets.

• Own full P&L responsibility (revenue, margins, cost structure, and investment decisions) of the RFID Business Unit.
• Define and execute the RFID Business Unit strategy with full ownership of growth, profitability, and market leadership.
• Define and manage budgets, forecasts, and investment priorities to maximize return on innovation and product development.
• Drive product roadmap, portfolio management, and new product introductions aligned with market needs.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. Represent EM in key industry bodies (e.g., RAIN Alliance) and strengthen its leadership within the RFID ecosystem.
• Drive business development, strategic account engagement, and ecosystem partnerships in close collaboration with the Sales organization.
• Monitor market trends, competition, and emerging applications to identify new business opportunities.
• Lead the RFID Business Unit organization, including product management and RFID engineering, while fostering strong collaboration with Sales, Operations, and other key functions.
• Define clear performance metrics (KPIs/OKRs) and drive a results-oriented culture.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.
