AYES in Switzerland seeks a Business Controller to act as a financial partner to the Business Unit, driving performance, improving transparency, and enabling data-driven decisions across projects and operations.

You will lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and make-or-buy analyses; monitor KPIs, prepare monthly reporting for senior management, review project performance, and support internal and external audits.

AYES, a multinational engineering and technology consulting company, is looking for a Business Controller to strengthen its activities in Switzerland.

AYES operates globally, delivering advanced solutions and innovative projects across some of the most established industrial sectors, including Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Railway, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Life Sciences.

As a Business Controller, you will act as a key financial partner to the Business Unit, supporting its leadership in driving financial performance, improving transparency, and enabling data-driven business decisions.

Your responsibilities

• Act as a financial sparring partner for the Business Unit and its leadership team;
• Drive and monitor P&L, balance sheet, and free cash flow performance;
• Define, monitor, and analyze key financial KPIs, ensuring transparency and consistency;
• Prepare monthly financial reporting for senior management, providing insights and recommendations;
• Review and challenge the financial performance of projects, identifying risks and opportunities in collaboration with Program Management;
• Conduct cost center reviews with functional leaders and identify cost-improvement opportunities;
• Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and business planning;
• Develop financial models and business cases for internal initiatives, CAPEX investments, and customer projects;
• Perform make-or-buy analyses and support CAPEX processes;
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of financial documentation and follow-up on agreed actions.

Your profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, or a related field;
• Previous experience in Business Controlling, Financial Controlling, Project Controlling, FP&A, or a similar finance role;
• At least 2 years of professional experience with SAP FI/CO;
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis;
• Ability to analyze financial performance and translate data into actionable business recommendations;
• Strong communication skills and confidence in interacting with business and senior stakeholders;
• Good command of German;
• Swiss, EU, or eligible NATO-country nationality, in accordance with project requirements.

Experience in an industrial, engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, or project-driven environment will be considered a strong advantage.
