Job summary

Adaptyv is building an automated lab that enables AI-driven biology experiments. This hybrid sales and customer success role is the primary technical contact from first conversation through ongoing engagement, translating protein goals into actions and ensuring experiments are set up correctly.

You will run technical sales calls on binding kinetics and assay design, onboard new customers, monitor accounts, troubleshoot with the biology team, and identify expansion opportunities across biotech

Qualifications

• Scientific background in protein engineering, biochemistry, biophysics or related field.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles (field application scientist, technical sales, scientific account management).
• Commercially driven with focus on revenue, pipeline, and closing deals.

Responsibilities

• Own the full customer lifecycle: prospecting, technical sales conversations, deal closing, onboarding, and ongoing account management.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers; understand protein engineering goals and recommend the right experiments (binding, expression, thermostability, enzyme activity).
• Explain assay capabilities in depth (BLI, SPR, cell-free expression) and advise on when each is appropriate.
• Work with biology team to ensure experiments are designed correctly and results are communicated clearly.
• Develop proposals and quotes tailored to customer needs, from pilot experiments to large-scale campaigns.
• Represent Adaptyv at conferences and industry events, and engage in deep technical conversations at the booth.
• Feed customer insights back to product and biology teams about assays requested, gaps, and lost deals.
