Job summary

arcoris bio AG in Schlieren seeks a hands-on Research Associate for the R&D team. You will blend bench work with lab infrastructure management in a fast-paced start-up, contributing directly to product development and biomarker technology.

The role requires practical experience with tissues, bioassays, and molecular biology; fluent English is essential. You will work on ISO 13485 compliant processes and support documentation in a collaborative international environment.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, bioengineering or related discipline.
• Must have practical laboratory experience, ideally with tissue-based assays and/or molecular biology.
• First experience with brightfield and fluorescence microscopy, ideally on fixed cell and tissue samples.
• Fluent in English (oral and written), working proficiency in is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform various bioassays (e.g. IF, IHC, FISH)
• Prepare and process FFPE tissue and other biological samples
• Perform nucleic acid purifications, conjugations and analytics
• Support assay development, validation, optimization and troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation
• Manage laboratory equipment, samples and consumables
• Maintain inventory, order supplies and prepare reagents, buffers and materials
• Support ISO 13485 implementation and documentation
