Banking Operations Project Management Officer

Responsibilities

• Support Program and Project Leads in implementing operational change initiatives
• Follow up on requirements and milestones
• Identify and understand project risks and issues
• Work with stakeholders to agree appropriate actions and deliver on associated deliverables
• In some cases, help to complete the work yourself (e.g. User Stories, Requirements Analysis, Impact Analysis)
• Produce and publish Project Governance reporting
• Identify process inefficiencies and drive automation and optimization efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements affecting operations.

Eligibility Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• 3-6 years experience in PMO, project management, or operations within financial services – preferably an investment bank.
• Strong knowledge of operational processes in trade settlements, risk and compliance.
• Experience of FX, OTC, Precious Metals and Securities is preferred.
• Experience of post-merger integrationa is also viewed favourably.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Clarity).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work methodically, with attention to detail in a fast-moving environment
• Effective prioritization and time management skills.
• Demonstrated client service, high standards and process orientation.
• Ability to multitask and operate independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to build and develop working relationships.
• Languages : fluent English, spoken and written. German is an advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification is a plus.
• MUST possess a valid CH work permit or an EU national passport
