Harmattan AI in Lausanne is seeking a Drone System Validation Engineer to validate performance and reliability of autonomous defense systems. You will lead test campaigns on our systems to inform internal development and maintain a competitive edge.

You will plan and execute validation across drone, payloads, and software releases, defining rigorous test protocols and analyzing telemetry to drive design improvements with R&D.

Qualifikationen

• 2–5 years of validation experience in aerospace/robotic systems or embedded robotics.
• Strong understanding of rigorous testing and validation methodologies.
• Knowledge of flight dynamics, control systems, avionics, or RF systems.
• Experience designing and executing structured test protocols.
• Familiar with DVT/PVT and environmental testing.
• Strong statistical analysis skills to interpret test data.
• Bonus: pilot certification or experience with military/industrial drone platforms.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to motivate teams.

Aufgaben

• Plan and execute validation & verification of defense systems (drone, payload) in simulated and real-world conditions.
• Design and conduct rigorous test for new features, hardware configurations, and software releases.
• Define, document, and refine structured test procedures.
• Capture and interpret telemetry, logs, and test outcomes to assess system behavior and recommend design improvements hand-in-hand with the R&D.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, software, and systems teams to support debugging and iteration based on test outcomes.
