Harmattan AI in Lausanne, Switzerland, is seeking a high-drive Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the end-to-end mechanical architecture of our quadcopter airframes, from initial CAD concepts to production release.

You will design in SolidWorks, solve heat and vibration challenges, run lab validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, flight-ready platforms for defense applications.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of hands-on UAV design and development experience.
• End-to-end ownership of electromechanical assemblies from CAD concepts through prototypes to production.
• Experience with plastic injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, and additive manufacturing.

Aufgaben

• Quadcopter & Subsystem Architecture: Lead mechanical design and modeling of lightweight quadcopter structures and chassis in SolidWorks from concept to production.
• Electromechanical Packaging: Lead spatial layouts and enclosure design to integrate electrical components into custom airframe volumes.
• Rapid Prototyping & Physical Testing: Build prototypes and perform lab validation including vibration, thermal, and drop tests.
• Simulation & Thermal Analysis: Conduct structural (FEA), modal, and thermal simulations and tolerance analyses.
• DFM & Production Documentation: Collaborate with Industrialisation and suppliers to optimize parts for manufacturing.
• Assembly Enablement: Support assembly sequences and training for production teams.
