As Automation Engineer within the PLC & UX Controls, Process Automation skill pool, you will play a key role in building the future automation capabilities of our Competence Center. You will develop robust control solutions, intuitive user interfaces and scalable automation architectures for products, machines and integrated systems.
Combining hands-on engineering with product development, requirements engineering and technology evaluation, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to transform engineering solutions into modular, standardized and reusable platforms deployable across regions and throughout the product lifecycle.
You will also contribute to a modern engineering environment based on model-based development and automated PLC code generation, creating the foundations for AI-supported engineering methods.
English – fluent; German or additional languages are an advantage
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, B&R Automation Studio, CODESYS or similar platforms; industrial communication protocols (e.g. Profinet, EtherCAT, OPC UA, MQTT); safety PLCs, simulation and virtual commissioning; robotics, industrial cybersecurity and modular machine architectures; experience working with OEMs and technology partners.
