EDV Werke AG in Visp, Switzerland, seeks an Automation Engineer specialized in Emerson DeltaV to design and implement DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects in regulated production environments.

Role involves system configuration, integration with plant equipment and MES, and rigorous FAT/IQ/OQ/validation activities, while ensuring GMP compliance and data integrity on an on-site basis.

Responsabilidades

• DeltaV Engineering – design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects and regulated environments.
• Configure control strategies, interfaces, graphics, alarms, and automation applications.
• Prepare and maintain engineering and validation documentation per GMP and standards.
• Integrate DeltaV systems with process equipment, PLCs, MES and plant systems.
• Execute FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, commissioning and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot automation and communication issues throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, data integrity and change management.

EDV Werke is looking for an Automation Engineer (DeltaV).

Working Model: On-site (3 days per week)

Location: Visp, Valais, Switzerland

Form of cooperation: B2B Contract

Tasks

• DeltaV Engineering – Design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects and regulated production environments
• System Configuration – Configure control strategies, system interfaces, graphics, alarms, and process automation applications
• GxP Documentation – Prepare and maintain engineering and validation documentation in line with GxP requirements and applicable standards
• System Integration – Integrate DeltaV systems with process equipment, PLCs, utility systems, MES, and other plant systems
• Testing & Qualification – Execute and document FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities
• Troubleshooting – Investigate and resolve automation, communication, and control system issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Compliance Management – Ensure adherence to GMP, data integrity, change management, and validation requirements
• Project Collaboration – Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Validation, Quality, and Project teams to support successful delivery

Must-Have Skills

• Technical Education – Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• DeltaV Expertise – Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV system engineering, configuration, and control system development
• Process Automation – Knowledge of process automation, control systems, system interfaces, and industrial integration
• GxP Documentation – Experience preparing and maintaining engineering and validation documentation in regulated industries
• Commissioning & Validation – Knowledge of commissioning, qualification, and validation processes, including FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ
• Troubleshooting – Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis of automation and communication issues
• CAPEX Projects – Experience working in CAPEX project environments and supporting project execution activities
• Language Skills – German proficiency is required, with English language skills preferred

• System Integration – Experience integrating control systems with PLCs, MES, utility systems, and process equipment
